Her studies have included anthropology, archaeology and art history with a lifelong interest in native cultures. As a tour guide for ten years at the Southwest Museum in Los Angeles, CA she studied north and meso American cultures including their art. These interests can be seen in her artistic expressions in clay.
Alyson’s clay work has been exhibited in art galleries in Little Rock, Arkansas and in southern California. A recent ‘transplant’ to north central Florida, her sculptures and jewelry are on display in High Springs and she is a demonstrator of her craft at the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center in White Springs, FL.
She is a member of the American Ceramics Society, the Live Oak Artists Guild and St Augustine Art Association.
